Hello. I'd like download mingw to use it as my C/C++ compiler becouse the
people think very good about this compiler.
But i have much confusion! I beleave that mingw is a port of GCC under x386
systems as Win32 platforms; it is correct? Or i mistake? What also? Please,
can you tell me the rest?!? Navigate with a voice syntetizer only is very
very difficult; for example i don't understand where link i have to click to
download (allwise - the updates) the latest stable version of mingw and its
standard (also not standard as graphics ... medias ...) library/s. Can you
indicate me it (the path) to download them?
I need also a simple (not under DOS, i need for Windows because under DOS
the syntetizer...many many problems!) editor (or IDE if exist but if it is
simple only, "lite!"); the perfect editor could be mainten the concept of
rows and columns but that is a Windows (98) application. It exsists? Where?
I have also very confusion becouse i read that Dev-C++ use the mingw 3.2
compiler, but if i go to sourceforge mingw-project to download the latest
version, i read that the latest version is 2.0.... Why?? I don't think!
Excuse me for my very bad english and for my unknowledge about free-C/C++
programming! I am a professional programmer but for mainframes!
What are msys, bin utils and... What i have to really download to easy
install and use mingw compiler with its standard library/s without i must
download several correlated packages to assemble?? And a decent and easy
editor and debugger (project managers, etc etc...are only big problems for
my screen reader (JAWS)!)??
thank you very much for your attention and i hope to receive hearly your
PS: what is/are CVS?? I often see it but i don't understand what it is/are!
