The msysDVLPR package provides the runtime, libraries and GCC and
binutils binaries for building the msys source as well as the utilities
that are msys-1.0.dll dependent.
So you ``cd / && tar -zxvf msysDVLPR-1.0.0-alpha-1.tar.gz''
The msysdvlpr command starts another instance of MSYS but configured to
be identified as an MSYS environment instead of a MINGW32 environment.
The ``uname -s'' will return MSYS_NT-5.0 instead of MINGW32_NT-5.0. The
window title will reflect MSYS instead of MINGW32 as well. The PATH
variable is set to search the /bin directory before the /mingw/bin
directory so that it finds /bin/gcc instead of /mingw/bin/gcc.
Now you need to configure and build your bash source. So, change
directories to the bash source and ``mkdir build && cd build''. Then
you can ``../configure --prefix=/usr ...'' which should generate a
Makefile for you. You then type make to build it.
