One of my criteria for MSYS is to keep the binary footprint as small as
possible. There are some binaries such as echo.exe which weighs in at
just under 21K can be implemented instead as small shell script using
bash builtins. The builtin should execute faster as well since it
doesn't have to exec the child process.
Are there any cons to this concept?
