Might I suggest adding a `release milestone' entry in the ChangeLog, when we make new releases; rewriting the above as: 2006-06-25 Chris Sutcliffe <ir0...@us...> mingw-runtime version 3.10 released. * Include/_mingw.h: Increment version to 3.10. * Makefile.in: Ditto. would suffice. I know that we haven't done this in the past, but it does make it easier to identify the release timeline, and so answer questions like `what version first included feature-X?', as the ChangeLog can be searched for `version [0-9][0-9.]* released', to locate the release points. I included the ChangeLog entries inline (since the News item doesn't allow for attachments). Is that sufficient, or would you prefer that I include them as an attachment to the announcement to the list? Chris -- Chris Sutcliffe http://ir0nh34d.blogspot.com http://emergedesktop.org |
