Hi Nicolas -
I have recently started getting the ball rolling with some updating of the MinGW
project's documentation. I would like to put together a comprehensive README for
inclusion with future releases of the MinGW distribution, but my short-term effort
(the next two weeks or so) is going toward fleshing-out the information on the
http://www.mingw.org website (updating the installation guide to reflect the new MinGW-1.0
release, and improving the FAQ).
By the early-to-mid part of this upcoming week, I would like to send out to the
mailing list an overview of exactly which questions I propose to add in the FAQ (with
a brief abbreviation of the answers to ensure I don't spread any misinformation). If
you would like to help out with this effort, the extra legwork would be greatly
appreciated! If you want, you can browse through the Mingw-users mailing list
archives (at http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/SourceForge/6013/0/)... and make note
of reoccurring questions (i.e. "How do I build apps with libstdc++ linked
statically?") that pop up over and over again month after month. You don't
necessarily have to understand or know the answer to a question, just identify it as
truly being a "Frequently Asked Question" and we can match up our lists via email.
P.S. I will be out of town this weekend, and apologize in advance for the delay in
responding to any emails. I will promptly return any correspondence first thing
