Initial Comment: OS Win2000 gcc version 3.4.0 (mingw special) GNU ld version 2.15.90 20040222 MinGW 3.1.0-1 Build environment MSYS The following Fortran program fails to link: PROGRAM F77TEST PRINT *, 'Hello, FORTRAN program working.' END The error encountered is: prompt>g77 f77test.f C:/Mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/3.4.0/../../../libg2c.a (endfile.o)(.text+0xc5):endfile.c: undefined reference to `ftruncate' Note the following entry in the changelog file which may be pertinent to this error: 2004-03-22 Danny Smith <dan...@us...> PR target/14291 * gcov-io.h (gcov_truncate): Define ftruncate as _chsize for __MINGW32__. and that ftruncate also occurs in endfile.c, as noted in the error message above. This problem affects not only Fortran main programs but also affect any program linked with Fortran code (certain in my own case: Ada code calling a Fortran library). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=957338&group_id=2435 |
