You can get a copy from your national standards body; in the US, ANSI sells a .pdf version for $18 IIRC. If you're really serious about C++, then eventually you'll need this, and perhaps the C standard that it sort of inherits. Much easier to read is Stroustrup's book _The C++ Programming Language. It's not a bad place for you to start. If you want a really good beginner's book, get Koenig & Moo. There are good C++ book reviews at www.accu.org . A good reference for the entire standard library is Josuttis's book. For the STL alone, the documentation on sgi's website is good. IIRC, dinkumware has some C++ library documentation online. The groups.google.com archives of comp.lang.c++.moderated are often useful. If you also want documentation for the msw api, I think there are links at mingw.org, and there's always ms's msdn site. |
