[Mingw-users] mingw output native win32 debug for imagehlp.dll?

it appears imagehlp.dll cannot read mingw's STABS format?
SymGetSymFromAddr never appears to be able to resolve names from mingw 
binaries.

is there some way to get mingw to output a debugging format that 
imagehlp.dll can actually read symbols from?

using libbfd is not an option due to license issues (nda licenses) with 
the code we are working on.
