Category: gcc Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Samit Basu (samitbasu) Assigned to: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Summary: internal compiler error: in rest_of_handle_final Initial Comment: First off - thanks for created and maintaining the Mingw package - I can't think of a single package which does more to open the Win platform for development... I did find this bug reported earlier (1747210), but I'm not entirely certain it is the same bug. In any case, here's the requested information for the bug report: OS version: Linux-RHEL4 (build), i686-mingw32-gcc (target) gcc version: 3.4.5 (mingw special) ld version: 2.16.91 20060119 mingw version: 3.12 build environment: Cross-compiler w32api version: 3.9 The bug occurs in attempting to build pcre 7.2. Attached is preprocessed source: [basu@bluering build]$ ~/cross/bin/i686-mingw32-gcc -c foo.c ../pcreposix.c: In function `regerror': ../pcreposix.c:171: internal compiler error: in rest_of_handle_final, at ./toplev.c:2067 Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <URL:http://www.mingw.org/bugs.shtml> for instructions. The preprocessed source was generated via: ~/cross/bin/i686-mingw32-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -O2 -MT pcreposix.lo -MD-MP -MF .deps/pcreposix.Tpo -E ../pcreposix.c > foo.c in the build tree. If I can provide any additional information to clarify, please let me know.
