Hello I downloaded a file called mingw-1_0_1-20010726_tar.gz. I have used it to compile various unix programs (though they are quite generic) and the jed editor (which is more platform specific). I would like to try to compile another (quite old) program, which compiles fine under various unix's and linux, but it requires termios. I noticed that pw32 provides termios, but after downloading pw32, I lack some key understanding about using it. How do I add the termios support to the mingw setup? (Do I even do this?) or do I load the pw32 files as a seperate thing altogether, in which case what is it in mingw that I do use? Right now I have a set of files, which work, that look like this H:\MinGW\bin H:\MinGW\include H:\MinGW\info-html H:\MinGW\lib H:\MinGW\man H:\MinGW\mingw32 H:\MinGW\include\g++-3 H:\MinGW\include\sys H:\MinGW\include\g++-3\std H:\MinGW\lib\gcc-lib H:\MinGW\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32 H:\MinGW\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32\2.95.3-5 H:\MinGW\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32\2.95.3-5\include H:\MinGW\lib\gcc-lib\mingw32\2.95.3-5\include\objc H:\MinGW\man\man1 H:\MinGW\mingw32\bin To use the mingw compiler, all I do is add the H:\MinGW\bin directory to the front of my path, and then everything just works like magic, in any other directory containing program source code I just type MAKE and that program compiles and links and runs. Where/how do I add the pw32 stuff, in particular the termios support? Thanks for any input, malcolm dew-jones |
