I am not a newbie to
using MSYS/MINGW , i have found the system incredibly useful for the last couple
of years relative to the cubersome Cygwin alternative.
Basically i have
saved up a number of general question over this time and finally out decided to
post them. ( Unfortunately they are of a newbie level ).
- I keep visiting the
MSYS/MINGW site looking for GGC4 as i am interested in
- But it doesnt seem to been built yet ( still in
alpha as of last year ).
- However when look on the web people are talking
about GCC4 for mingw
- Can someone square this circle and tell me the
state of a kosher MSYS GCC4 release ????
- Recently i have started using
UNC path names in the PATH variable and are having a very subtle issue with
entries appeaering after the UNC path not always being seen
- Should i update
to latest MSYS or
- Is it a know
- Can someone explain
to me where or how all the WIN32api libraries supplied with MSYS have come
- Can you mix and
match libraries / dlls generated with GCC
Out of interest i
have been using MSYS( make etc ) to build using the VisualStudioCompilers as
this means i have a unified build system across Unix and Windows, has anyone
else tried this, is anyone interested in how to do it ??!!
