Hi, I am new to this mailing list and I would like to use mingw + msys as my development platform on a windows system.
I have succesfully, I hope so, configured such platform and just compiled some third party libs.
In one case, for the FreeImage lib I could not perform a compilation to success due to its not clear contants definitions...I tryed myself to edit some headers but with no luck...the code is not arranged so well...
Someone here has managed to compile succesfully the FreeImage library? I would appreciate so much some help.
Then, I've encountered some times difficulties in compiling libraries which, I think so, they are wrongly interpreting the "build-target"...in particular when I am trying to compile the OIS library I am constantly receiving error messages stating the X11 headers are missing...I have just edited my bash profile and added these two variables: _MSC_VER and _WIN32 which in some cases have helped me to correctly compile.
In this case it does not give me any good result and I think the only way to compile such library is to specify some BUILD option for the configure process...I do not have experience so I do not know to let assume my system is win32 one...
In a different case I could leave behind such problem by specifying the '--with-platform=win32' option but here it seems there is no one...
Thanks in advance.
