While due to an MSYS bug, doing CTRL+C in gdb in MSYS required a hideous workaround with an additional external program, it used to work with cmd.exe & gdb.

Not anymore. It appears to be broken some time since a 7 release (from googling it appears it still worked in version 6).

Since this is a fundamental feature for gdb on Windows, a fix would be very appreciated.

I'm confused. Are you saying that entering ^C in gdb while in cmd.exe doesn't work? If that is the case you'll need to report it to the gdb bug tracker.

Yes that is exactly what I'm saying.

Where is the gdb bug tracker? I assumed the MinGW project would handle it aswell.. sorry if that's not the case :-)
