I can see no reason for it not being added.
I can't understand why it was removed in the first place.

    I'll vote for this request.

    mingw-w64's msys doesn't work the last time I checked (they have come out with an update since then), and there's nobody to maintain the buildbot there so the compilers are dated August 2011, and I need 64 and 32-bit executables.

    it is possible there will be 32 and 64-bit DLL's as with mingw-w64, maybe not.
    I need *something* that works, and mingw 32-bit seems to provide compatibility with windows 9x, which is a plus for me.

    please provide 32 and 64-bit binaries output. thanks.
