Should we at some point add emulations of the list of MSVC compiler intrinsic?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/w5405h95.aspx

If we do I would suggest an additional library such as msvcintrin instead of adding to mingwex which are extensions to MSVC.

Hi, I noticed you updated https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2962480&group_id=2435&atid=102435 and I suppose this is related.

That particular issue was relevant to me due to this eigen bug: http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=125

However that's been solved. gcc intrinsics work fine already; the issue was simply one of (fake) linkage for those intrinsics.

So, as far as I know, the issue is merely that including the definition of the same intrinsics twice (once with C and once with C++ linkage) causes compile failures even though the notion of linkage doesn't pertain to intrinsics.

Anyhow, I don't quite fully understand your resolution of the other bug, so perhaps this is all already obvious, but in any case I thought I'd mention it.

    Good luck,

    --Eamon

Sorry; I think I've probably confused mingw and mingw-w64.
