I am just trying to get Mimer working with Oracle 10g and when I am trying to create a new MpmConnection object I get the following exception:

Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version=10.1.0.301, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

The Version of Oracle.DataAccess that I have is 2.102.2.20
I have got Oracle 10g R2 and the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio installed.

I also get the same exception when I run a test for Oracle 10g in Mimer Provider Manager Administrator.

Thanks in advance

    Sean,

The Mimer Provider Manager is built for Oracle.DataAccess version 10.1.0.301, the 2.102.2.20. This is a .NET design and not really a Mimer Data Provider problem. You can build your own Mimer Provider Manager from source and link it to the new version, or you can add a .NET Binding Policy for the Oracle data provider. The later is done in the control panel/Administrative Tools/.NET Framework 2.0 Configuration. Add Oracle.DataAccess as a configured assembly and specify the "Requested version" to be 10.1.0.301 and the "New version" to be 2.102.2.20. After creating the binding policy it should work with the newer version of Oracle.DataAccess as well.
