I can't get MiKTeX to produce a SEARCHABLE text in Russian. Everything
is fine with babel, everything works but the Russian text cannot be
searched for in Adobe Acrobat Reader 7. English is perfectly searchable
in the same document.
Can I remedy the problem somehow? Thanks.

It's impossible to help you when you don't tell us what fonts
settings/packages you use. However, I guess you are experiencing the
problem described on
in the section that starts with "Virtual fonts help".
Please, read the complete text too.
