recommends a "Registering a User-Managed TEXMF Directory"
I experience that with miktex-portable-2.8.3541.zip this is not a stable
I had to use a TDS (TeX Dir Structure) below the install directory.
I was not able to use a registered TDS for the AcroTeX bundle.
I use MikTeX currently with a licensed AcroTeX package. From this
perspective, I would appreciate that TeXWorks provides a TeXSatz
texify => dvips => ps2pdf via Adobe Destiller => Viewer Acrobat
The AcroTeX Bundle (www.acrotex.net) requires Destiller and Acrobat Pro.
Hopefully the next TeXWorks version support this.
Before installing the portable MiKTeX version I used the basic-miktex
with the following setupwiz.opt file:
Later I used initexmf --admin -report and realized that MiKTeX offers to
values, but the installation process decides to chose its own values.
