OK, continuing my search I found eso-pic.sty in the FAQ http://www.tex.ac.uk/cgi-bin/texfaq2html?label=watermark This is the first package I've needed that was not included in my MikTeX installation, so I made my first use of the package manager to get a new package. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FEATURE!!! Simple, fast and flawless. I found eso-pic to work flawlessly in the dvipdfm output, but the yap viewer again had serious troubles: there (unscaled, unrotated) text was place *on top* of the document text. Maybe I am not setting some option? Thanks, Alan Isaac PS I should mention that I have ugly overwrite trouble with the yap display for the watermark package only if I use it to include an EPS figure. If I strictly use the LaTeX picture environment with no graphics inclusion, I get NO watermark displayed at all, but it shows up correcty in the dvipdfm output. |
