Dear everybody, I have the following problem: when I have a tabular environment which contains a minipage environment, I get alignment problems with the minipage environment. (I cannot necessarily reproduce the same problem when the minipage does not occur within a tabular environment; because of some error messages I am not too sure about that.) The alignment problem is that the option [t] ('top') added to the minipage command aligns, just as [b] ('bottom') at the bottom. In other words, if there is no option used, I get the default 'c' ('center'), if I use either [b] or [t], I get bottom alignment. This problem does not occur in a version of LaTeX that I used to run on a Linux system (Red Hat), i.e., there the top alignment option worked as expected. 1. So, what's the problem? 2. How can I get round the problem. Thanks.
