Does anyone know > what the problem is? Thanks in advance. Last time I heard about this problem was in 2007 (you can find postings in the help forum and in the bug database) and the cause was an installation in an unusual path. But it could also be that one of your formats.ini is corrupted (normally there should be two: One in the Install-root and one in UserConfig). Try to add a new format e.g. testpdflatex in miktex->settings->tab formats, copy the entries from another format. Check if the entries of this new format are added to the formats.ini in UserConfig and if you can build the format. If this fails too you will probably have to make a trace to get more informations (http://www.miktex.org/diagnosing). -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen Ulrike Fischer |
