On an error, TeX tells me to type 'e' to call an editor. In older versions on MiKTeX, I told MikTeX which editor I wanted (and the line at which to start) with a config setting in 'miktex.ini' . In MikTeX 2.6, miktex.ini no longer exists. Where (and how) does one teach MikTeX this? I could not find the answer in the official (not-so-user-friendly) MiKTeX FAQ :-( ccn. -- ................................................................. Prof.Dr. Cornelius C.
