open your eps file with tiff preview with GSview, go to file/PS to EPS,
check Automatically calculate Bounding Box, and the new saved file will work

The bounding box info is already in the file, just after the tiff preview.
I think it would be much better if MiKTeX just used the bounding box info
that's there, as pdfetex (tetex) does. It's not a great solution to have to
manually open and resave every single eps file.
