Hi everyone, Thanks to Hans Nordhaug and to Pr. Cornelius Noack for their messages. I carefully made modifications to my local updmap.cfg (writing Map prodint.map in it, not proding.map) as indicated by Hans Nordhaug and refreshed the File Data Base but I am still not getting the product integral symbol. The symbol does not appear in the dvi file. The subscript of the symbol does appear though. In Yap, File -> Document Properties, I get "prodint >>> Not loadable Making PK font: C:\PROGRA~1\texmf\miktex\bin\makepk.exe --verbose prodint 600 600 magstep(0.0) ljfour Trying to make Pk font prodint (600 DPI)... makemf --verbose prodint makepk: prodint.pk could not be made. Loading 'cmr10' instead." I also saw an error message saying that Latex was not finding the metrics file. I checked to see that the metrics file is at the correct address. When I obtain the symbol, I will gladly indicate installation instructions to Pr. Gill for other users. Regards >From: "Hans F.
