I would appreciate if you keep me informed. > Thanks for the advice, I just found out that it was something different: The file permissions were set wrongly (not even the administrator could delete the files), the MiKTeX-Program folder was read-only (for some strange reason I could delete about half of the files nonetheless). I had to reboot in safe mode and change the file permissions. I have WinXP Home, you can change the file permissions only in safe mode. I did not change the file permissions and I wonder how that happened... Thanks for your help anyway, ProcessExplorer sounds quite useful, I'll keep an eye on it. Regards, Michael |
