Hi Brad, Maybe you can try what I have just did for solving mathptmx font problem: Rename your localtexmf directory to localtexmfSave, say. Remove texmf directory (or rename if you don't feel comfortable). Reinstall MikTeX (if your computer is online all the time, simply try small and configure MikTeX to install missing packages automatically). Now compile your TeX file and run Yap to view. If it works, then replace the contents of the localtexmf Save with the new localtexmf. Remove localtexmf and change the name of localtexmfSave back to localtexmf. After updating the database, it should work like before. If it doesn't work, then ask again, and hopefully someone else can help you.
