Hi guys, I just started using MiKTeX last weekend, and I'm pretty confused about the documentation! I've managed to install cyberbit.ttf to run the CJK UTF-8 example file and the mathtimes professional fonts. I used updmap, but a friend of mine told me about mkfntmap. A bit more googling led me then to initexmf --mkmaps. I have looked at <http://www.miktex.org/manual/psfonts.html>, <http://www.miktex.org/2.2/mkfntmap.html> and <http://www.miktex.org/2.4/issues.html>, and I'm quite confused. I believe that the instructions on <http://www.miktex.org/manual/psfonts.html> are wrong, in that it just tels me to edit updmap.cfg and then refresh the file name database. I guess that mkfntmap is the "correct" version. Can I just forget about the two other? I wish the graphical "MiKTeX Options" program would take care of this. Thanks in advance for any helpful comments!
