I'm proud to announce the new release of the microJabber package!
This release includes the xml stream parser, jabber utility classes, the bouncycastle (www.bouncycastle.org) library for SHA1 encryption, and two midlet examples.
hope this helps!
I just uploaded some documentation about Jabber for beginners to catch Jabber basis in 15 minutes! It is on the project's website, at http://micro-jabber.sourceforge.net/?What_is_Jabber%3F
I am proud to announce the brand new Website of the project, based on the CMSimple content management system, and accessible at:
I also set up the project's mailing list. For more infos, click the "Lists" link on the sourceforge page of the project.
microJabber used to be distributed under the GPL licence. After some thinking about it, I decided to use the LGPL licence.
Now commercial projects can use microJabber!
Although no cvs commit or file upload happened today, I decided to move the project state from pre-alpha to ALPHA because the program worked pretty well on a handy one week ago, and could:
* log in & log out (using password encryption SHA1)
* exchange messages
* download files via http (for images..)
The project is brand new, and I - the admin and only member - go on holiday. but don't panic:
The project has already SIX months full time work behind, and both the application and its documentation exist (and in a fairly good shape)!
Just be patient: i come back for late august to release this great work!!
