Hi Kristian,
Thanks for the reports.
1.) The current version of 4.0 seems to launch new sessions from the Cluster Manager on Windows
but it could be an operating system issue.  If you have any error messages on the command line
they would be helpful.
2.) This doesn't seem to work in 4.0 but it had worked previously in 3.1.  In the dos window
it looks like there is some message (not a java error) that could help us figure out what is
going on.
Can you try launching a new session from a gene or sample cluster from Linux?
On #2, did you or Wendy modify the sample annotation import feature for 4.0?
I remember some discussions about not having to rely on the loaded order of the samples
but rather using some sort of mapping.

Subject: MeV4 bugs?

Hi John and Eleanor

I have come across a few things in MeV4 which do not seem to work. You might already be aware of it…

1) Nothing seems to be happening when I try to launch a new MeV session by right-clicking a gene cluster in the cluster manager.

2) Nothing seems to happen when I try to append additional sample annotation in the utilities menu.

These are not critical errors as it is possible to put the sample annotation data in the original file as well as store the gene cluster and importing that in a new MeV session. However, just thought I would let you know....
