I find the current tree directory browser in the data
loader to be a real pain to deal with. In particular,
if I navigate several folder levels down and then
realize I need to load a different type of data,
there's no memory for where I was. In addition, the
narrow pane on the left requires either expansion or
horizontal scrolling in most practical applications. I
have to admit, I liked the old version of file browsing
for the tab delimited files as that made use of the
std. OS interface. The new version harmonizes all file
browsing to the same style but it's the more difficult
one for the users. This could be improved somewhat by
having a preference for the default file browsing
starting location.
