I have done a two factor limma, with the first variable being temperature (2 groups : group 1-Control, group2-Stress) and the second variable being developmental stages (12 groups: stages 1, stage 2....stage 12). I just want to clarify the result output which comes out as Temp 1 vs. stage 1-2 and Temp 2 vs. stage 1-2. I am assuming that when it says stage1-2 it means all the 12 stages and not just the stages 1 and 2. For example, Temp 1 vs. stage 1-2, signifies the control group (temp –group 1) vs. all 12 developmental stages? Is this correct or am I interpreting the results incorrectly?
