it seems there's no way to deal with jack ports with spaces in their names.
i've tried enclosing the name in quotes, and escaping the space with a backslash -- neither works.

am i missing something, or does this need attention as a bug?

thanks much!

The config file parser is not very clever, space is a space even if backsleshed. Can you give me example of a jack tool making such kind of port name? I would like to reproduce.
Did you try using the latest version from git tree? It uses a new config file format where port names are enclosed in brackets, this may solve you problem.

    Thanks for your inputs.

    Fabrice.

Ardour routinely produces jack port names with spaces in them -- that's how i ran into this issue. i'll be testing with meterec release v0.8 and will report back.... stay tuned!

    cheers!
