I got some SYNOP's in 10. minutes intervals. And I see many warnings, when decoding some of them. It's the SYNOP's, that contain precipitation for the last 10.minutes in group 555, that makes error.
How do I get Metaf2xml to decode those ?
currently they cannot be decoded. Sections 5 (groups after "555") and 8 for Denmark are not described in the manual (WMO-No. 306, Volume II, 2014), they are national groups. I couldn't find descriptions elsewhere, either. Sorry.
Kind regards,
Thomas

I'm sorry for the delay, but I couldn't reply earlier.
The main issue is that the documentation is not public and I don't know what restrictions the owner has set on it. Perhaps there are none. But maybe an NDA is required before using it (which prevents that the code becomes open source), or publishing code for it would infringe the SourceForge Terms of Use, or maybe the contents is protected by patents. Additionally, I can't see when the documentation changes, so the code would not match it anymore.
The second issue is that the data is not public. If I'd start to provide code for all the non-public data parts I would have a lot of work but only a small number of people could benefit from it.
As I want to stay out of legal trouble and I have only limited resources, I can't help you here, sorry.
Kind regards,
Thomas

Thanks Thomas for reply.
If I can get the full documentation for SYNOP in DK (national groups), can you help ?
Btw. I have access to all DK SYNOP's for testing,
Best regards
Jesper
