I'm a PC user, however my company is using Cheetah 3D (Mac) right now to create some animations we need. Unfortunately, Cheetah has polygons that I'm unable to paint for whatever reason- though I do enjoy being able to simply hold my mouse down and paint areas I need. Is there any way to have a polygon painting feature in MeshLab? I do not have a use for the current vertex painting (and I would think that Polygon painting would be much easier to do and be in a higher demand).
In addition, any documentation that you can support on texturing an object would be highly appreciated. I love MeshLab soooo MUCH- and I'm glad that you released 1.2.3a. What a great program!! It has saved my butt big time, and is just a great tool to have.
