I attach the error messages. However, I could compile shape, wincopy and xfont. When I run shape, it instantly freezes my system. All I can do is use the Magic Keys to reboot. xfont works, and wincopy gives me the following: wincopy: -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, this program requires either GLX 1.3 or GLX_SGI_make_current_read. --------------------------------------------------- > > > I'm still not sure whether this is a problem in the openchrome > > driver, or in mesa, or in dri. > > It has nothing to do with the openchrome driver. However, I solved the problem of Mesa not being recognized by some apps by using LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so (see my bug report). Nevertheless, for me the real problem is that Mesa is unstable on my system, i.e. although I can now start, lets say, tremulous, it freezes my system after a while. So to be clear: do you think what I just described is a problem in openchrome/mesa/dri? Or am I confused ;-) ? Christian -- -o) /\\ Message void if penguin violated _\_V Don't mess with the penguin |
