I'm still trying to install Mesa-7.0.2.
I get compile errors with compiling mesa in both the linux-dri-x86-64 and linux-x86-64 configs.
Questions 1 and 2 concern dri. I couldn't find a list for dri. If this question should be posted elsewhere, please let me know.
I downloaded the dri package via the Mesa website link. I've also tried downloading/compiling a package from the dri website with the same results.
The dri package seems to compile ok, but while compiling mesa with the linux-dri-x86-64 config, I get an error:
DRM_VBLANK_SECONDARY not declared.
After googling the error, I found that a bug concerning this was reported last year, but didn't find a solution. I also can't find where this variable is declared, and thus which library/header I'm missing. Does anyone know?
Does anyone know if dri supports the nvidia cards? I read the dri documentation, but I am still confused whether my nvidia fx550 card is supported.
The mesa linux-x86-64 config seemed to compile, albeit with warnings(most about pointer-integer casts). Unfortunately,I can't run any demos. I get the following error:
GLUT: Fatal Error in gears: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0
/etc/X11/xorg.conf is set to load module glx.
I found libglx:
So, I'm still confused. Any ideas?
