I noticed that GL lists and textures seem to use an huge amount of memory with version 3.5.0 compared to 3.4.0. I recall 3.4.0 not using more than 10 MB and 3.5.0 seems to use up as much as 150 MB (viewing from ps). Is there any intentional design reason for a larger amount of memory usage in 3.5.0? -- Sincerely, ,"-_ \|/ -Capt. There has been an increase in the number of data items stored in display lists (ie 8 texture coords), but this isn't enough to account for the increases you are describing. I know, it really seems awkward that just texcoords would increase the memory usage. Are there other issues with texture generation? Again I am comparing one program compiled the same way but one linked to the new Mesa and one linked to the old library the one linked to the 3.4.2 Mesa3D library runs just fine. but the one linked to the new 4.0.0 has huge memory usages. Does the memory usage continue to increase as the program runs? Perhaps there's a leak somewhere. -Brian _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It goes up to about 150 MB and stops. Compared to the same program linked to Mesa3D 3.4.2 that only goes up to 15 MB. -- Sincerely, ,"-_ \|/ -Capt.
