It doesn't appear that there are official rules for what should happen. There is a relevant rules clarification here: http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,39237.0.html, but it hasn't been answered yet. I think this ticket is going to have to wait for an answer.

Fixed in [r11251]. Now, when the crew killed critical is applied, the server checks if the Entity is an airborne VTOL or WiGE, and if it is Server.crashVTOLorWiGE is called.
I also updated the reports for formatting and added a report that distinguishes between a crash caused by lose of movement and a crash caused by the crew being killed.
