the process of adding new game mods to the mod menu is currently not
exactly nifty, and while it is setup in a way which allows for
automation this hasn't yet been done. My sometime-in-the-future plan for
this is to have a separate virtual server for the Megaglest masterserver
and mods where we can all have shell access and where we either
implement a CLI for automating most aspects of this or where we have a
web application development framework (such as Symphony, Rails etc.)
driven web interface which does it.
For now, thanks to Atzes' help, I've written up this document which
explains the internal process of adding mods (for now only maps) to the
menu, for future reference:
Please add to and improve it. We also need instructions on packaging
techtrees there and need to communicate those instructions to the modders.
