Help with subtitles

  • nmc

Hi. I have followed instructions posted here:

in the paragraph titled: "Piggybacking subtitles in your stream"

but I guess I am doing something wrong.

When I added the lines to my config.xml file and saved the file, I could not open it again. I do not know whether I have to follow some guidelines for editing the config.xml file (for instance, inserting tabs o write the lines respecting the columns). So I would be grateful if someone could help me with this.

Also, I guess that the last part of the tutorial, that says "… and have this as mediatomb-mencoder-srt content… " should not be included in the .xml file but should be typed in putty as commands. Am I right?

I read somewhere that mencoder should be downloaded. I do not know whether I have that program?

Laslty, I copy my config.xml file so you can check whether I should add other lines. Thank you for your comments.

I forgot to tell you that I have installed mediatomb in a D-Link DNS-320 NAS.
