I have been a happy user of Mediatomb for the past 2 years. It's been running on a Shuttle K45 with a 1.8 GHz Celeron "D", 1GB RAM, and Ubuntu 8.04, and displays on my DirectTV HR-22. Unfortunately my Shuttle's motherboard just died. I'm thinking about replacing it with an Atom-based system. I see lots of posts on this forum about performance on DNS-323 (ARM) but I want the Intel architecture to easily run other applications.
Can anyone tell me if they have successfully used Mediatomb on an Intel Atom to do the following:
a) Display JPGE photos (I hope that should be easy)
b) Play transcoded MP4/AAC (iTunes) audio
c) Play transcoded MP4/H.264 (iTunes) video
I am using the transcoding scripts in the wiki; nothing too fancy.
Thanks for the help!
