Mpg does not transcode to PS3

    I have used Mkv2vob to create the Mpg files and will stream just fine with my windows box, but i would rather run it from my linux box. Here is my config, hope someone can help.

    You can of course remux your mkv files to something that the PS3 can paly under linux. This script may help you:

    Note, that this is not suitable for on the fly transcoding, but as I understood you were also not transcoding on the fly under windows but rather preparing the files beforehand.

    Btw, I am not sure if I understood you correctly the first time… is it that your existing mpeg files do not stream?

    Could be that filemagic puts some funny mimetype in there, you could try adding an extension to mimetype mapping i.e.:

    <map from="mpg" to="video/mpeg"/>
    

    restart the server and reimport the mpeg files.
