MySQL problem on opensuse 10.2

  • All,

    I have installed mediatomb on my openSUSE 10.2:
    mediatomb-0.10.0-0.pm.1
    mediatomb-mysql-0.10.0-0.pm.1

    I have updated config.xml to make sure it will use the mysql database I have created, here's my config.xml:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <config xmlns="http://mediatomb.cc/0.10.0/config" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://mediatomb.cc/0.10.0/config http://mediatomb.cc/0.10.0/config.xsd">
      <server>
        <ui enabled="yes">
          <accounts enabled="no" session-timeout="30"/>
        </ui>
        <name>MediaTomb</name>
        <udn>uuid:53603b6b-35fe-4b9a-bc0f-afc50db33e4b</udn>
        <home>/etc/mediatomb</home>
        <webroot>/usr/share/mediatomb/web</webroot>
        <storage driver="mysql">
          <host>localhost</host>
          <port>0</port>
          <username>mediatomb</username>
          <database>mediatomb</database>
        </storage>
      </server>

    ** removed import section **
    </config>

    If I now start mediatomb (/etc/init.d/mediatomb start) the log file shows following error:

    2007-11-21 16:38:57    INFO: Loading configuration from: /etc/mediatomb/config.xml
    2007-11-21 16:38:57    INFO: Checking configuration...
    2007-11-21 16:38:57    INFO: Config: option not found: /server/servedir using default value:
    2007-11-21 16:38:57   ERROR: Config: option not found: /server/storage/database-file

    To me that's really strange since it was configured for mysql!! The option which wasn't found is for sqlite3.

    Anybody any idea??? Or do I miss something???

    PS: I have a collection of about 50.000 music tracks .. so I think choosing mysql over sqlite3 makes sence :-)

      Hi,

      this is a known bug which is fixed in current SVN, as a workaround add a dummy <database-file>something</database-file> entry, it will not be used anyway if the driver is set to MySQL.

      Kind regards,
      Jin
