The Medialibrary official website is now online at http://medialibrary.sf.net . It features news, overview, docs, download & about topics. Don't expect anything excessively fancy, and it's not really hot news, but it gets the things done. Kudos to AlexKidd.

MediaLibrary 0.2.1 unofficial cvs release

I played a lot with the current ML cvs release this week, and found out that its stability vastly improved since 0.2.

All the important bug fixes & mesmerizing new features convinced me to tag a 0.2.1 cvs release.
You may get it by cvs -d$CVSROOT checkout -r MEDIALIBRARY_0_2_1 MediaLibrary

FEATURES

* indexed MP3 files' ID3 information is parsed as file comments
* automatically sorted media tree view (name, size...)
* sort strategies may be customized in resources/medialib.prop
* media may be removed
* just renamed media are sorted and selected again
* 2 GUI refresh policy: continuous (i.e. on every catalog model
event) or on catalog loading & indexing end only. Set by the
property "medialib.gui.refresh" in resources/medialib.prop (values:
OnActionEndOnly or OnModelEvent).
* OnModelEvent policy's file loading performances improved (4 times faster then
previously)
* OnActionEndOnly light fast gui refresh policy (6 times faster than OnModelEvent)... read more

ML cvs up

OK, guys! ML cvs is up!

I hope I didn't make any mistake... tell me if u see any binary file committed as a text for instance ;)
It will be from now on the ML reference code base. Easier to maintain, easier to merge, easier to checkout.
So, no more lame excuses about not being able to work on ML ;)
Anyway, if u don't know how it works or how to commit ur already existing files, just ask me.

M. "good job, lad!"

... let's start!

The MediaLibrary on SourceForge project just started.

However, dear end users and developers, a fully functional prototype has already been completed and is now waiting for some basic packaging. You may therefore find it here in a few hours or days ;).
Another good piece of news is that the MediaLibrary Team is no longer a dream. Some really good ideas are starting to pop up in the technical field, and it makes me look at ML's future with bright, proud eyes.... read more
