This seems like a great tool. I am not a bash programmer and have tried to figure out a way to loop through a directory of .avi and essentially print out a table of contents using each file's metadata. For example,is it possible to make a list of .avi files in a directory that list each avi file name and it's creation date on a single line something like this?
I googled all the likely topics sufficiently to find my own postings asking for help with this in my searches. It seems like such a common task but I haven't been able to find the answer.
Thanks in advance.
You can use some templates e.g.
mediainfo "--Output=General;%CompleteFileName%,%File_Created_Date%\n" DirectoryName.
But I don't think you need MediaInfo if you need only the file creation date...
