    Hello,

In the case of a video or audio file that was transcoded from another file does Media Info report the wrapper and / or encoding of the source file? If yes, what field labels are used by Media Info for this info?

    Thank you, Fred

I can not invent data not in the file.
As far as I know, such data does not exist in files.
The only exception I know is ISHP/ISRC/ISRF fields in WAV/AVI, they are not common and mapped respectively to "OriginalSourceForm_Sharpness", "OriginalSourceForm_DistributedBy", "OriginalSourceForm".
Ho, there is also BWF Broadcast extension, "History" field, badly mapped to "Encoded_Library_Settings" for the moment, it is better to use BWF MetaEdit for that info.

If you have files with information about the source file, I may support the output of this information, but we need first to see what is the format of the data (= you're first, you must provide samples)
