I am using MediaInfo_CLI_0.7.xx_Windows_i386 in my encoding batch. Two of the users of my batch reported that 0.7.62 - 0.7.65 takes very long time (max 2 - 3 min) to show the information for avi files.
I wrote this kind of commands in my batch.
MediaInfo.exe --Inform=General;%Format/String% --LogFile=temp.txt "%~1"
And they said it takes long time for each step.

But, 0.7.61 has not such problem. When they replaced MediaInfo.dll and MediaInfo.exe from 0.7.62 - 0.7.65 to 0.7.61, it showed information quickly as noraml.

Unfortunately, I could not reproduce the problem on my PC. And the reporters are not good at this type of bug report. So, I wrote the information that I got from them.

Discussion

  • Such regression is definitely not acceptable, but I can not reproduce it too.
Maybe it is specific to their file.
I need the files, please ask to provide files.
I can provide a private FTP server access on request.

    Thanks.
I asked the owner of the second files. He can send 2 files via FTP. Both files have same codec. The file sizes are 3 - 4 GB. Maybe, he should send one, and then if you need he sends another. OK?
