Hello,
will mbldr ever support AHCI?
The only other (free) actively developed MBR chainloader is GAG and the
author already said he won't.
Will Arnold save us?

Mbldr works on every configuration supported by BIOS and firmware of SATA controllers. Although mbldr has no AHCI-specific code in the bootloader, it still can load if the disk drive is detected by BIOS. Please describe your HW configuration in a bit more details so I can advise. Can your BIOS boot directly from AHCI drive?

To be completely honest, I still have to test mbldr on this machine.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L and when enabled, an "AHCI bios" message pops up before the boot (à la old adaptec scsi controllers).
BIOS settings allow for a legacy mode, but I'd rather not renounce the performance increase AHCI gives.

Dear Mariuolo,
Please test mbldr and report failures back if any. There should not be an issue if BIOS supports AHCI.
