It seems like Maxima and wxMaxima is no longer updated for windows :-(

Please - could it be possible to make a web-site with a "guide" on how to compile Maxima and wxMaxima for windows !!!

I wish I could contribute somewhat more, unfortunately my only experience in programming is Delphi for windows... - not c or c++ etc.

  • There are already detailed instructions for compiling Maxima on Windows: as explained in the FAQ (http://sourceforge.net/p/maxima/wiki/FAQ/#how-do-i-install-maxima) in the section "Building from source", the instructions are in the INSTALL.win32 file.
I managed to build Maxima a few years ago following those instructions. With the newest versions of GCL and MinGW I could not manage to build it yesterday but I will still try this Weekend and will update that INSTALL.win32 file if necessary.
Regarding wxMaxima, that is a project separate from Maxima, so your feature request should be placed in their project and not here.
