The travel demand for MATSim needs to be specified per person, as individual travel plans. You can translate an O/D-matrix into individual travelers by creating people with trips based on the distribution in your O/D matrix, but you need to code this by hand. You would then roll this out over (say) a whole day. You can find a sketch for population generation from O/D-pairs in tutorial.programming.example08DemandGeneration, but constant initial departure times are used there. It would need to be adapted so that N departures are generated, for instance, per hour, and departures chosen randomly in that hour. Cheers Michael |
